The PHP ecosystem runs a huge share of the web, and for a while it had no serious, shared answer to “how do I call an LLM properly?” — every plugin and agency rolled its own HTTP wrapper. As part of my work on the WordPress Core AI Team (2025–present), I contribute to the PHP AI Client: an SDK that gives PHP one clean interface to LLM APIs.
One interface, multiple providers, sane defaults — so the thousands of developers building on WordPress and PHP get a foundation instead of a copy-pasted cURL call. This is the same thesis as the rest of my work: infrastructure that makes the right thing the easy thing.
